From the Ashes Studios is a Denver based studio owned and operated by Phillip Thompson. The studio was founded in 2013 after Thompson finished his degree at Fort Lewis College liberal arts school (2011) and Denver School of the Arts (2006). Aside from producing unique pit fired ceramic works, Thompson also offers both one-on-one and group classes. There you can learn about the handling clay, the design process and how to pit fire your piece. "Working with clay is calming to the mind and makes me feel at peace."
